Thank you so much for being there and for painting a picture of the ACC meeting! I wonder if these meetings will ever end? How many times will people keep going back for more of the same? It's like the movie "Groundhog Day"!!
I feel terrible for the people that went to Jamaica with good intentions. It has to be frustrating to be in meetings where your opinion and vote is supposed to matter, then, not be able to understand what is being discussed (because of the language barrier), AND THEN find out that the confusion was intentional! Rowan Williams needs a refresher course at the Queen Mum's School of Etiquette!! The manipulating English speaking folks don't know the meaning of "acceptance of diversity" if they don't know that being rude, arrogant, self-centered, and MEAN to "non-English speaking" members of their own counsel is wrong! That fact in itself shows the state of the hearts of TEC leadership and friends. BUT, when God is not allowed to lead the meeting ... this is what you get!
The important fact is that God sees what's going on and God IS in control and He has worked a miracle with the steps that He has taken to form GAFCON and the Anglican Church in North America with the open hearts of obedient Biblical Christians from all over the globe!! Thanks be to God!
